Location:

Gladstone, QLD

Client:

The Fisherman’s Landing site consists of approximately 53.4ha of land reclaimed from the adjacent Port Curtis using over 600,000m³ of dredged material. As the civil engineering consultants to EPC Laing O’Rourke, BG&E was involved in the design of the bulk earthworks and drainage for the site.

This included the design of temporary earthworks staging including surcharging, which was used in conjunction with wick drains to accelerate the consolidation of the dredged material and underlying clays to prepare the site for the proposed LNG process trains.
