317m road bridge over Gascoyne River with 13 continuous composite steel I-beam spans and 10km of associated highway works on North West Coastal Highway.

BG&E were the principal consultants responsible for the design and documentation of the new 317m road bridge over the Gascoyne River and 10km of associated road works on the North West Coastal Highway and Useless Loop Road.

The Gascoyne River Bridge involved 13 x 24.4m spans of continuous composite steel I-beam/concrete slab. Concrete cap beams and pier walls founded on driven steel tube and concrete filled piles supported the steel beams. The road works involved widening and pavement overlays to the Gascoyne River to Blowholes Road section of the North West Coastal Highway extending 10.2km north from the Gascoyne River Bridge.
